For mountain bike enthusiasts who want to get together with a group and practice building skills and endurance on the trails, riders have the opportunity to join Foundre Racing, a 501(c)(3) organization that is unaffiliated with Casteel/CUSD or AZ NICA. 

Foundre Racing was founded in 2019 to share the stoke by providing cycling opportunities to all levels of riders (beginner-advanced) in 2nd-12th grade. Registration opens in October 2026 for Foundre Racing, with an informational meeting TBA.

Foundre Racing will be holding a two day a week practice schedule from Dec '26 - April '27 to accommodate youth riders during the Arizona mountain bike season. In addition to offering a structured practice schedule, Foundre Racing participates in and offers race support for the MBAA XC Race Series, The Cactus Cup, Aravaipa Rides, and various other non-interscholastic races in Arizona.

Many of our riders participate in both the Casteel MTB Club and Foundre Racing. It is not required to join both, but there is a lot of added value in  being a part of an awesome group of riders and their families!

All club communication takes place in Slack (desktop and mobile downloads available).  Once registration concludes and participation fees are paid, we will send all club members an invite to join our Casteel MTB Slack Channel.  We encourage both riders and their parents to join.
